We only have Shizuo’s title screen and one character’s sprites (2 expressions) left to go. Once it’s finished, per usual we’ll do some bug testing, and send it out when it’s in the clear. It should be released this month, which is a lot sooner than I anticipated, but we’re very excited to continue the story of Ikebukuro Records.
Ikebukuro Records is looking like it will come to a close in 2024 with only Masaomi’s route left, which again, was earlier than I anticipated. Once Ikebukuro Records is completed, we will put “Completed Games” as our pinned post, so you can easily access all the parts and future games we finish.
Regarding the move to Ren’py: All routes of Ikebukuro Records will stay on TyranoBuilder. I’m more familiar with the game engine, therefore being able to put together parts faster. But when we release our first original game (the outline has been made, the script just has yet to be written), it will be made using Ren’py due to the game engine being more polished than TyranoBuilder and having a trustworthy export source. Additionally, after messing around with it, it should be a smooth transition.
Our format in games will eventually change gameplay wise, but we won’t be revealing the specifics until the time arrives. Nonetheless, we think you guys will like it.
Thank you for reading! We hope you’ve enjoyed your spring so far. (´ ᴗ`✿)
